Difficult point: restaurant, country and countries.
Key point: the key drill.
Teaching steps:
Step one: warming up:
1. Greeting: teacher and Ss say “hallo” to each other.
2. quick response:
CAI shows many of things
(1) What’s this? Apple, pencil, book, orange, doll…….
(2) What are these? Fruits, CDs, clothes, sweets…….
3. Lucky game:
Choose a picture to read; maybe you got 5 points, 10 points or no points.
Step two: presentation:
1. Teacher: they’re running. Where are they going? Oh, what a big supermarket! Last lesson, Amy and Lingling went to the supermarket, they bought lots of things. Do you want to know more things about the English supermarket? Let’s learn the Module 2 Unit 2 They sell different things. (Bb the headline).
2. teach the key words:
(1) Play the CDs, let the students listen to the recording carefully and find the difficult words.
(2) Listen to the recording again, and try to read the difficult words.
(3) Tick out the difficult words, let the students read it first, and then repeat after the teacher.
Sell spell the word with s p e l l.
Sometimes: word card some+times=sometimes
Restaurant: res tau rant read it in syllable.
Country: country and countries, China is a country. There are many countries in the world.
3. Word games: how many times?
4. Listen to the recording again, then do the exercises.
(1) CAI shows the sentences one by one.
Many English supermarkets are very small.
They sell food from lots of countries.
They also sell clothes, toys and CDs.
Sometimes there are restaurants at the park.
